"I Have A Dream"

The Speech "I Have A Dream" was given by Martin Luther King Jr, on the steps of the Lincoln memorial infront of a huge audience on August 28, 1963. His purpose was to demand equality, and his tone was considered demanding and angry. This speech presentation was my favorite because I was already familliar with the King and considered him a very brave man. His subject was civil rights, and in my opinion everyone deserves freedom and rights.
The language of the speech affected me in countless ways, because I consider myself to be a very emotional person. He got the attention of the audience by using rhetorical questions and using the same gramatical structure. He repeats "I have a dream" several times in his speech. His usage of the words caught my attention and I was stunned by it. Martin Luther King is an important person to history, and I am glad to still be learning about him today.
